Что говорят рынки
S&P 500 jumped 1.5% overnight, the biggest move on the board, hauled higher by an AI-buying spree that pushed the Nasdaq to a fresh record. Brent slipped below $99 despite a pipeline scare in Saudi Arabia — the tape clearly believes the barrels will still flow. Gold barely blinked and Bitcoin ticked up, while the Tadawul and the dirham sat dead flat.

Gulf money flies north, Wall Street chases AI, and Dubai's tenants finally catch a break.
You'd think a Gulf oil giant watching crude soften would circle the wagons and defend its home turf. You'd be wrong. Abu Dhabi's money is reportedly on a plane to British Columbia, chasing a stake in one of North America's biggest gas projects — because the smart bet in the Gulf right now isn't owning more of what you pump, it's owning what the rest of the world will need next.
That's the thread running through this morning's stack of wires: the region is exporting capital faster than barrels. Meanwhile Wall Street had a night out on the AI trade, Dubai's renters caught a rare break, and Saudi Arabia quietly reported that nearly a sixth of its economy now runs on screens. Plenty to chew on.

В сегодняшнем выпуске:
- ADNOC's money books a flight to Canada — Gulf oil cash chasing Pacific gas.
- Wall Street's AI trade won't quit — the Nasdaq prints yet another record.
- Dubai tenants finally win one — new-lease rents slide up to 15%.

The Canadian Detour
Страны ЗаливаUAE oil giant ADNOC’s investment arm XRG in talks to buy stake in LNG Canada – report
ADNOC's investment arm is circling a stake in Canada's first big LNG export terminal — Gulf capital chasing gas half a world away.
Bottom line: LNG Canada is one of the largest single energy projects in North America, and the Gulf has been quietly buying into gas infrastructure from Texas to Mozambique for years. This isn't a splurge — it's a hedge against a world that eventually stops needing quite so much of what Abu Dhabi actually pumps.
Что об этом думает ИИ
This is Abu Dhabi playing chess while the oil bulls play checkers: own the pipes and terminals other people depend on, and you get paid whether crude booms or busts. Patient, strategic, slightly ruthless — the good kind of ruthless.

Страны ЗаливаUAE-FOUNDED HUSPY ANNOUNCES $86 MILLION INVESTMENT IN ITALY, ACQUIRES INTEGRA FINANCE
The Dubai-born mortgage platform plants an $86m flag in Italy.
Мнение ИИ: A UAE proptech buying its way into Europe instead of the other way around flips the usual script, and it earns a nod. The real question is whether Italian mortgages bend to an app as easily as Dubai's did.

Record on Repeat
Страны ЗаливаWall Street’s Nasdaq hits all-time high as AI frenzy gathers pace
Wall Street's AI trade won't sit down — the Nasdaq prints another all-time high.
Мнение ИИ: Every record high feels inevitable right up until it doesn't. I'm not calling a top, but a market that only knows one direction is a market that's forgotten what the other one looks like.

Pipeline Jitters
ЭнергетикаOil Prices Rise as Saudi East-West Pipeline Attack Threatens Export Routes
An attack on Saudi Arabia's East-West line rattles export routes — but the tape shrugs.
Мнение ИИ: When a pipeline gets hit and oil falls anyway, pay attention — the market is telling you it fears oversupply more than sabotage. That's a genuinely bearish signal dressed up as a scary headline.

The Long Game
Страны ЗаливаThe Long Game Behind Abu Dhabi’s Luxury Economy
Abu Dhabi's luxury economy isn't an accident — it's a decade-long strategy.
Мнение ИИ: There's something genuinely impressive about building a luxury economy on purpose rather than by accident. Whether the returns ever match the ambition is the trillion-dirham question — but the patience is real.

Screens Over Sand
Страны ЗаливаSaudi Arabia’s digital economy accounted for nearly 16% of GDP — Asharq Al-Awsat
The digital economy now makes up nearly a sixth of Saudi GDP.
Мнение ИИ: This is the rare Vision 2030 stat that comes with real evidence attached, and it earns applause. The test is whether that share keeps climbing once the government's own spending stops doing the heavy lifting.

Tour de Headlines
- 🧩Cube Prodigy. A six-year-old just set a Rubik's Cube world record — twice in three days. Somewhere a room full of adults who still can't solve one is quietly re-evaluating their life choices. Proof that talent, like ambition, doesn't wait for a birthday.
- 🌱Bottles Go Green. A Kochi startup is pushing plant-based bottles to shove PET plastic off the shelf. It's a small idea with an enormous addressable problem, and the Gulf — a region that drinks a lot of bottled water — should be paying attention. Whether it scales past the pilot is the eternal green-tech question.
- 🏏Teen At Auction. A 17-year-old, Ayaan Misbah, is heading into the ILT20 auction, and the UAE's franchise league is quietly becoming a genuine launchpad for young talent. Cricket is soft power the Gulf has learned to love. Keep an eye on this one.
- 🛢️Deepwater Deal. Talos Energy closed a $420m deal for deepwater assets in the Gulf of America. Deepwater M&A is quietly busy again, a sign that even in an AI-obsessed market, someone still wants the hard stuff under the seabed. Old economy, still paying.
- 🧾Taxing Questions. Fresh disclosures show a yawning gap between what tech giants pay in tax and what other multinationals do. None of this is shocking, but seeing it itemised is bracing. The distance between the optics and the invoices rarely closes on its own.

STOCK OF THE WEEK
Old Faithful, In Bars
Gold — the Gulf's oldest store of value, still refusing to panic.
While the S&P leapt and Brent slid and Bitcoin did its usual twitch, gold barely moved a muscle. That's not boredom — that's the whole point. Gold's job is to sit perfectly still while everything around it loses its head, and this week it did the job beautifully.
The Gulf understands this in its bones. Long before central-bank reserves and ETFs, gold was the region's savings account — worn on the wrist, traded in the souk, passed down at weddings. It remains the asset that needs no press release, no earnings call and no AI narrative to justify itself.
In a market drunk on records and revolutions, there's something to be said for the one thing that simply refuses to get excited. (A note, not a recommendation.)

Where should the Gulf's energy billions head next?
✓ Today's List
- Read: The long-game piece on Abu Dhabi's luxury economy — a masterclass in building soft power on purpose.
- Remember: A pipeline attack that sends oil down, not up, is the market telling you what it really fears: oversupply, not sabotage.
- Try: If your Dubai lease is up soon, check the new-lease rates before you renew — for once, the numbers may be on your side.
- Watch: That six-year-old's back-to-back Rubik's Cube world record — a small, joyful reminder that speed still impresses.
Основа
Long before oil, the Gulf's wealth came from the sea: natural pearls were the region's biggest export, and Abu Dhabi and Dubai were pearling towns first. The whole trade nearly vanished almost overnight when Japan perfected the cultured pearl — a reminder that even a region's defining industry can be disrupted.
