Privacy Policy

We collect the email (and, if you fill it in, the name, company, job title, industry, country and age) you give us when you sign up, so we can send you the daily Shndy brief and tailor it to you. We do not sell your data. Full stop.

If Shndy is ever acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer as part of that deal — like any change of ownership of a business — but it would never be sold on its own as a data product. This policy would keep applying, and you'd still be able to unsubscribe and ask us to delete your information at any time.

Email address — required to send you the newsletter.

Name, company, job title, industry, country and age range — optional, collected during the sign-up questions so we can personalize your edition. You can subscribe with just an email and skip the rest.

Basic product usage — things like which games you've played and your streaks, stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.

To send you the daily (or periodic) Shndy issue by email.

To personalize the note in your welcome email and, over time, the content itself.

To understand aggregate, anonymized trends — like which sections get read most — never to profile you individually for advertising.

Nobody, for money. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

We do use a small number of service providers to run Shndy — an email delivery provider (Resend) to send the newsletter, a database host (Upstash) to store the subscriber list, and a hosting platform (Vercel) to run the website. They process your data only to provide those services to us, under their own security and privacy commitments, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Shndy or our readers.

We use minimal local storage for things like your game streaks. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Unsubscribe anytime — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and it's also available on the site.

Ask us to see, correct, or delete your data — just email us and we'll take care of it.

We keep your subscriber record for as long as you're subscribed, plus a short period after unsubscribing to honor suppression and legal record-keeping needs. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Shndy is intended for a general business/finance readership and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
