About Shndy
A daily brief on Gulf business, markets and AI
Shndy is a free five-minute brief on Dubai, UAE and Gulf business, markets, real estate and AI. A new issue comes out every morning at 8am Dubai time on shndy.com, by email and in the Shndy app, in English, Russian and Arabic.
Alongside the brief, shndy.com has daily word games, a trivia game and a few free tools.

Who publishes Shndy
Shndy is published by Alex Znamenskiy, an independent publisher in the United Arab Emirates. He owns Shndy, sets the rules it is written by and is responsible for everything it publishes.
Shndy is not part of any media group. It is free to read and does not carry paid placements.
How Shndy is made
Shndy is written by AI, and we say so. Each morning an automated editorial system reads public reporting from news outlets, wire services and official sources, picks the stories that matter for the Gulf and drafts the issue: the summaries, the analysis and the AI's take on each story.
Shndy has no staff journalists and does no original reporting. It summarises, explains and comments on stories other outlets have published, and links to them.
Before an issue is published, every specific figure in it (prices, percentages, deal sizes) is checked automatically against independent outlets: at least two for a figure in that day's news and at least three for background figures. A figure that can't be confirmed is cut and the draft is rewritten. If the issue still can't pass, nothing is published that day.
The Russian and Arabic editions are translated from the English issue by AI. The editor's note at the top of each issue is drafted by AI and signed with Alex's name, as the person responsible for the issue. Our Instagram account, @shndy.news, is labelled as an AI-generated profile for the same reason.
Editorial principles
- Sources are linked. Every story links to the reporting it is based on, so you can read the original yourself.
- News and opinion are kept apart. Summaries report what the sources say. Analysis and the AI's take are labelled as commentary.
- No invented numbers. A figure appears only when independent outlets confirm it. Hypotheticals are never presented as fact.
- No paid placement. Nobody can pay to appear in Shndy or to change what it says. If Shndy ever carries sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled “Sponsored” and kept separate from the news.
- Not advice. Shndy is general information, not financial, investment, legal or real-estate advice.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, email salam@shndy.com with the issue date and what's wrong. We check every report against the sources.
Confirmed errors are corrected in the web edition of the issue, and material corrections are noted where they were made. Emails and social posts that have already gone out can't be changed.
Contact
Email salam@shndy.com for corrections, feedback, partnerships or anything else. A person reads every message.
